8 Must Watch Anime for Spring 2017!

As winter season comes to an end and spring is fast approaching, we now look at some of the upcoming series the spring season has to offer. Let’s not waste any time and start with the Spring 2017 Anime Recommendation!

Shingeki no Kyojin 2 (Attack on Titan 2)

Genres: (Action, Super Power, Drama, Fantasy, Shounen)

Starting it off with one of the most awaited sequel — Shingeki no Kyojin 2!

After being delayed for countless times, it’s finally here! It’s been 4 years since the anime was aired and we only got some OVAs and a spinoff. If anyone of you has no idea of what this anime is all about, Shingeki no Kyojin follows Eren, along with his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and his childhood friend Armin Arlert, as they join the brutal war against the titans and race to discover a way of defeating them before the last walls are breached.

So if you’re one of those people who likes action and over sized muscular titans or one of those who already watched the first one then this is one surely needs to be on your list.

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata

Genres: (Harem, Comedy, Romance, Ecchi, School)

The story revolves around Tomoya Aki, an otaku that wants to create his own game, he can’t do it alone so he decided to find people with different talents in which will help him finish his game.

The tale of a small not quite doujin circle, but not quite indie studio’s journey through the tough territory of comiket and beyond.

Elitist girl, tsundere childhood friend, hot cousin and a plain/boring classmate(which turns out to be best girl) this is your harem starter pack this season.

Boku no Hero Academia 2

Genres: (Action, Comedy, Super Power, School, Shounen)

Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku being powerless at first  meets All Might, the number one hero and his personal idol. Being chosen to inherit All Might’s power he then trained and enrolled in UA High, a prestige school for training heroes. With his bizarre but talented classmates and the looming threat of a villainous organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero.

Stunning fight scenes, superheroes, super villains and a hero school. What more can you ask for?

Boruto : Naruto Next Generations

Genres: (Action Adventure)

Naruto was a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become the greatest ninja in the village and his face sits atop the Hokage monument. But this is not his story… A new generation of ninja are ready to take the stage, led by Naruto’s own son, Boruto!

With Naruto being  finished comes a new series of Naruto except that he isn’t the main character of the show anymore but none other than his son Boruto!

Taking place after the Boruto Movie this is one show you wouldn’t want to miss because who doesn’t watch Naruto?

Eromanga sensei

Genres: (Comedy, Drama, Romance)

From the author of Oreimo comes a new anime that revolves around  Masamune Izumi, a light novel author in high school. Masamune’s little sister is Sagiri, a shut-in girl who hasn’t left her room for an entire year.

Masamune had never met his illustrator, and figured he was just a disgusting, perverted otaku. However, the truth is revealed that his “Ero Manga Sensei” is his own younger sister! To add to the chaos that erupts between the siblings, a beautiful, female, best-selling shōjo manga creator becomes their rival!

Clockwork Planet

Genres: (Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi)

Naoto’s a high school dropout and brilliant amateur tinkerer. He lives in a world that has been so over-exploited that the entire surface has become one vast machine. When a box crashes into his home containing a female automaton, it’s a harbinger of change that will rock the entire globe, and give Naoto his chance to be a hero.

From the author of No Game No Life surely Clockwork Planet would likely be another great anime to watch out for.

Sakura Quest

Genres: (Comedy, Slice of Life)

In the wake of a nationwide movement during the Bubble economy period, a small town in the countryside has revived its “mini-nation” tourism program; hiring five girls as travel ambassadors. The series will follow a year’s time of the five girls as they work in the tourism agency of a small failing town in an effort to reinvigorate it.

Spring season has only a few slice of life anime and this one caught my attention. Having it created by the same creators of Shirobako and Hanasaku Iroha , I anticipated this would be good and definitely worth to watch. Somewhat like a change of pace with all the action and fantasy anime that is airing this season.

Granblue Fantasy The Animation

Genres (Action, Adventure, Fantasy)

With the popular mobile game by Cygames with the same name comes Granblue Fantasy. This is a world of the skies, where many islands drift in the sky. A boy named Gran and a talking winged lizard named Vyrn lived in Zinkenstill, an island which yields mysteries. One day, they come across a girl named Lyria. Lyria had escaped from the Erste Empire, a military government that is trying to rule over this world using powerful military prowess. In order to escape from the Empire, Gran and Lyria head out into the vast skies, holding the letter Gran’s father left behind—which said, “I will be waiting at Estalucia, Island of Stars.”

With a huge cast , popular VA’s and a talking lizard. I personally liked the story and also the characters that are found in the game. If the anime would be the same, then surely this will be one of the good shows this season so stay tuned!

The whole list of anime that will air this season can be found here.

These are just some of the shows that are airing this season to help you get some ideas of what to watch. This does not mean that they are the ones that are only worth to watch and you will still be the one to decide on which anime you are gonna watch. All of these are just my personal picks and I just wanted to share them with you.
