Koi to Uso (Love and Lies) first launched it’s Manga on August 2014. It was made by Tsumugi Musawo in DeNa’s MangaBox app. MangaBox’s synopsis of the series:
Lies are forbidden and love is doubly forbidden. In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don’t have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can’t seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he’s below average. But in within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?
The cast would include Takumi Kitamura as Yūto Shiba, Aoi Morikawa as Aoi Nisaka, and Kanta Satō as Sōsuke Takachiho. It will be directed by Takeshi Furusawa, known for Assasination Classroom and Another.
Unlike the Manga, the live action will have a new set of main characters, and will focus on two boys and one girl. Personally, I would like to see it stick with original content, but with the Koi to Uso Anime also being made, it would be more proper to see it’s Live-Action tackle the series using a new approach.
What’s your view on it? I would like to know if you too would like it be like the original one, or see it take on a fresh new feel without straying too far from the original Koi to Uso’s plot.
